Terra Incógnita was born out of a dream to democratise access to the sport of sailing for everyone. Due to the huge success of the Sailing School, we quickly felt the need to increase our resources to meet demand.
Now that were years old, we look back on the thousands of sailors we've trained and the many others we've taken out on the water, hoping that the next years will be at least as spectacular as the first.

Sustainability
It is essential to understand that the actions we take make a difference, especially when working together!
At Terra Incógnita, together with our partners, we want to do our part for the planet and specially for the sea. So, in order to make the sea cleaner for the species that depend on it, we develop several actions such as:
- Beach Cleaning
- Dock Cleaning
- Underwater cleanings
- Workshops (SkeletonSea) - Using materials, mainly plastics, collected from the sea to create sculptures.
Environmental Education
From the youngest to the oldest, there is a huge amount of work to be done to raise awareness and change attitudes. There are many projects underway in partnership with the Lisbon Oceanarium, the Port of Lisbon, the Bandeira Azul (Blue Flag) supported by our main sponsor Mercedes-Benz.
In addition to sustainability and environmental education,
social responsibility is one of our pillars and so we embraced
the invitation of Vela solidária to be its right wing, in the
central region of Portugal, and have developed countless actions
with underprivileged young people and people with special
needs.
